Information[]
Affiliations in the wiki means different things. An affiliation can be a faction in Overgeared or a loose group of people who share commonalities. The distinction is like the difference between a game mechanic and agreements of a verbal nature. For examples, Guilds are affiliations with special game mechanic for players or behind a kingdom is a whole set of game mechanics that can be used. In contrast, there is a definition for 10 Rookies as affiliation, but there is no game mechanic behind it, as there is no common act of all rookies. In addition, there is the distinction between real world affiliations and satisfy affiliations. The real world groups influence Satisfy, but they are not a game mechanic affiliation. As a game mechanic, affiliations determine absolutely who is friend or foe. Once an affiliation is set, all relationships are subservient to the affiliation. Thus, an game mechanic affiliation determines the fragmentation into factions. However, this does not apply where players are insolvent. No matter what the game mechanics matter, real people are not guaranteed to be absolute in their decisions.
