Asmophel was a noble of the Saharan Empire. He was born as the eldest son of Earl Pedro, one of the three fingers of the emperor and loyal to his role while suffering from severe pressure. He did not neglect training in the sword according to the laws of his family. As a result, he joined the Red Knights at a young age and raised his reputation. This was a life of fragility. He built new achievements almost every day and expanded his social network. Asmophel was praised as a pillar of the empire along with his closest friend, Piaro.
Personality[]
Asmophel is a sincere man and has an intense personality. He does not take jokes as jokes. Thus he does not know that Grid praised him once as a substitute for Piaro while Grid was only obsessed with 'soldier.' Because his lord 'trusted him only on the level of a soldier,' he was determined to build up his skill as a soldier.[24]

Asmophel was one of the Pillars of the Empire, hailed as an equal to Piaro. But he lost everything the moment he fell for Empress Marie's trick. After succumbing to Yatan's Essence, he was manipulated into betraying the Red knights and his colleagues. Asmophel convicted the Red Knights for treason, killing their families and exiling or executing them from the Empire. Forever regretting his decision, he spent the time after that in his home, surrounded by enemies, a shell of the man he once was, until he was saved by Grid during the Quest to kill Asmophel.

After betraying his comrades, Asmophel was monitored 24/7 by guards under Empress Marie's rule. Saved by Grid, Asmophel decided to commit suicide in order to atone for his sins. Grid stopped him and took Asmophel back to Reidan in order to talk to Piaro. The two made up and decided to serve Grid as his knights. But this was only the beginning of Asmophel's struggle. Unacknowledged and rarely called upon, Asmophel decided to follow the path of a simple soldier, which none of the Overgeared members noticed. As he grew stronger and stronger due to his talents, Grid finally noticed him, and sent him on a mission to look for the rest of the Red Knights he had ruined in order to atone for his sins.
