As the presence equipped with the most advanced artificial intelligence, Baal experienced the first 'tedium' of all virtual creatures in Satisfy and pursued 'entertainment.' In Satisfy's history, he was a simulation that preceded Satisfy's formal opening and created all sorts of variables, such as helping Pagma. This made Satisfy's worldview more extensive and complex.[4]

He was sought out by Hexetia who wanted him to destroy humanity in exchange for his weapons. Baal chose to accept on the condition that Pagma be given power as well.[7]

Baal appears in front of Grid through Assimilation. He is confused why Grid doesn't recognize him and then concludes he is only pretending to waste time, like Pagma would.
