Chapter 149[]
At this point, Balak has already appeared and is wrecking havoc. Vantner is struggling and says he would be able to play an active role if Grid made his Wave Armor.
Chapter 151[]
Balak appears in Bairan alongside Neberius. There, he starts attacking, putting the Tzedakah Guild members into peril. His continuous fire damage affected at least 60 people and his skilled swordsmanship makes him difficult to fight. On top of that, Neberius' accuracy debuff makes it hard to land attacks. Suddenly, Grid appears and lends Dainsleif (Reproduction) to Toon. This allows him to fight against Balak. Although he's being attacked, he turns to look at Grid when he puts on Malacus' Cloak.
Chapter 153-155[]
Many skills were targeted at Balak, causing him to take heavy damage. His sword was being sucked away due to Swamp Shield, so he couldn't properly defend. The situation looked bright until he used Hell Fire Festival, summoning hundreds of fireballs around him. They rain down and deal massive damage. Not only that, but Swamp Shield's duration ends and Balak's sword is freed. Grid appears and lends Dainsleif to Toon, allowing the guild members to fight Balak.
Balak was getting tied down by the guild members, but he could still put up a fight. Grid uses Neberius' Flute to test it, and this debuffs his allies while buffing Balak. Balak starts overpowering the guild members again, and begins to retreat when Grid approaches. He says he will step aside for today, but he will come back better prepared.
