Dante was the Ninth Knight of the former Red Knights.
Introduction[]
Dante the Ninth Knight of the former Red Knights, he is a power who mastered the foundations of the Empire's Swordsmanship and was a mentor to all the Red Knights.
In utility, Dante is regarded as an NPC who can train soldiers of Overgeared Kingdom even better than Piaro and Asmophel. Unfortunately, early on Dante's condition was worrisome due to the system stating that his life was coming. However when Dante got the Deity Stat, he became healthy due to the small amount of faith that Grid has given him and become truly loyal to Grid afterwards. Dante is currently working as an army instructor of Overgeared Kingdom.[3]
Dante was a legend among the Red Knights. It was said that none of those taught by Dante failed to develop.[4] After watching a duel between Grid and Piaro, he had an intense urge to teach Grid, thinking there wouldn't be any regrets in his life if he could help his benefactor.[5]
Affiliations[]
Dante was a former Red Knight of the Saharan Empire. After the Piaro's betrayal incident he left the Empire. He later on was traced by Asmophel whom Grid had given an order to find former Red Knights and ask for their forgiveness, and so after Grid can collect them for his Overgeared Kingdom.
Appearance[]
After gaining Deity Stat Dante was noticeably younger than he was a month ago. The wrinkles of the years still remained but the black spots symbolizing aging had disappeared and his eyes were completely clear. He looked at least 20 years younger.[6]
Abilities[]
He is said to be a legend among Red Knights as it was said that none has failed to improve after trained by Dante.[7]
He can train soldiers faster even than Piaro and Asmophel. He was used to be Mentor of all former Red Knights. He is a person who mastered Empire's Swordsmanship from its foundation. He trains soldiers by the concept of body, skill and heart, which is a concept of growth to Special Being's and Biban had even emphasized it to Grid, this is a concept unknown to many people due to which Grid was extremely surprised.[8]
Story[]
Gathering of former Red Knights[]
Chapters 1111-1117:
Dante with Amelda, Kentrick and Mercedes were together watching Asmophel fight against Kyle and 2nd Prince of Empire Dulandal's Sword Knights. After Kyle's defeat when War God Follower Lee Jeong came there to save Kyle, which Mercedes says to Amelda and other two that they should escape as the opponent is above her power level, Lee Jeong wants Mercedes to become War God Follower of Zeratul which she refuses and says that her King is a God like Entity to her, and creates a new Chivalric Code. At the main time to save Mercedes and others Grid reaches there and takes Kyle under his custody due to which Kyle loses all his fighting spirit. Grid and Lee Jeong battle each other while Asmophel and Mercedes help Grid after Lee Jeong confirms other party isn't from the faction of expelled Gods, so they stop fighting.
Grid says to Lee Jeong to leave Kyle behind which he says to Grid that he isn't wise and can't defeat him. As for replying Lee Jeong Grid summons Piaro, Noll, and Teruchan after seeing this Grid's Knights, humiliated Lee Jeong leaves Kyle behind.
Afterwards Piaro introduces the 3 Knights, Dante, Amelda, and Kentrick. Grid doesn't pay any attention to them and only hugs Asmophel and Mercedes behind them, and being grateful that they both are safe.
After all these skirmishes Dante along with Amelda and Kentrick swear their loyalty to Grid and become his Knights.
Healthy Dante & Training of Soldiers[]
Chapters 1199, 1212-1216:
Dante seems to be healthy and Piaro asks him that how is he so energetic, to which Dante replies that he seems to be getting better from some time and Piaro says that this is the power of Farming. Whatever the reason Dante was happy to regain his youth and he was in a good condition.
Grid was shocked when he saw changes that happened in Reinhardt as he only went out for a month but changes were enormous to describe. It was because the average level of the soldiers guarding the gates was nearly 20 levels higher than before.
There was a cap on the growth of ordinary NPCs. There was a limit to how their stats could grow. The closer the stat value was to the maximum. the more noticeably the level up speed slowed. This was why the efforts of both Piaro and Asmophel didn’t increase the level of the soldiers.
The soldiers of the Overgeared Kingdom had already grown near the limit. Then Dante suddenly became healthy and the level of the soldiers grew rapidly. It was due to the fact that Dante has gained a point in his Deity Stat through the title Half-God Killer which was accidentally provided by Grid (who had taken the form of Dante with the effect of Berith's Skin Mask).[9]
Deity referred to the dignity of a god, a divine dignity that couldn’t be reached. It was extremely rare among the hidden stats and the value was overwhelmingly high.
Dante was an NPC. He was different from players. It could be interpreted that the existence of a god’s dignity couldn’t be tied to a human life span so it led to an increase in lifespan.
While watching a duel between Grid and Piaro, he had an intense urge to teach Grid, thinking there wouldn't be any regrets in his life if he could help his benefactor. But Dante alongside Singuled, both were shocked after seeing the destructive duel between Piaro and Grid which they hadn't thought of. After seeing the bond between Piaro and Grid, his affinity towards Grid increased. He also watched the duel between Mercedes and Grid with others who were present there.
Later on they moved to Throne Room of the Castle to discuss the status of Dante.
Grid is glad that Dante has regained his health, Dante talks about Great Sage Stick's conclusion which Grid deems as incorrect and says that he is the one who has given him this virtue. Grid talks about side effects of Dante gaining a small amount of divinity that Gods of East Continent have become hostile to Dante. So Sticks says that Dante will be safe until he doesn't go to East Continent as the Gods of East Continent are forgotten Gods who haven't built many Myths and can't come to West Continent.
Grid talks to Sticks about that if Dante gains more Faith will he become a Half-God like Yangbans, which Sticks retaliates that if this can happen then half the World would have been filled with the sects of Pseudo Gods, which means Dante isn't capable of building his Divinity to become a Half-God like Grid can do.
Grid tells Dante that if he can build his own myth he can become a Half-God, which Dante replies that he is grateful to Grid who did such virtue on him and says he is happy with his life span extended and can't do something Mythical. After this incident Dante's affinity becomes maximum towards Grid but if Grid commands him to do something wrong he will tell Grid even if his life is at risk.
Afterwards Grid and Dante talk about the training of soldiers. Dante says that most of the soldiers have completed their Body but their Skill and Heart are immature and they have a lot of room to improve. After listening to these words Grid was shocked as these are the concepts used in Special Being's status as Biban had emphasized these terms. Dante tells Grid that he trains soldiers' skill and heart due to which they can improve really fast.

- Dante was judged to have achieved the Half-God Killer title because Pungsa misunderstood Grid (who was wearing Berith's Skin Mask and had the appearance of Dante) as Dante. Because of this Dante got his Deity Stat opened and also got a 1 point in his Deity Stat. It is unknown whether Dante got the title Half-God Killer or not as in his status window except his previous two titles no new title was shown, only the effect of the title was shown due to which his Deity Stat was opened and +1 point was added into his Deity Stat.[10]
