Doran was a shadow, who secretly protects Earl Steim with his excellent discerning eyes.[4]
He had been shown to be a relaxed character, even when he was attacked by Grid. He was also shown to be extremely loyal, willing to sacrifice himself for Irene.
He was a Caucasian-looking man who looked to be in hid mid thirties, but his actual age may differ, as Grid himself claimed that he experiences trouble figuring out people's ages.[5]
History[]
He was a friend of Kasim. Studying under the same master, Daluka, they grew together and fought against each other thousands of times. Their talent was only enough for half of Daluka's secret techniques. [6]

Chapter 4-9[]
In a Yatan temple, where Irene was abducted for her virgin blood, Doran carries out Earl Steim's order to rescue his daughter, knowing that his strength alone is not enough. He tries to recruit Grid, whom he offers the quest Rescue the Earl's Esteemed Daughter, as Grid shows no signs of fear, and succeeds because of a misunderstanding that arose from Grid's reactions. They fight together against the Yatan followers including Blood Witch Yura. Grid dies, but Yura's magic breaks the temple. In the turmoil, Doran manages to rescue Irene at the cost of his life. In his last moments, Doran tells Irene about Grid's help and gives her his ring.
