Braham's title that is called Possessor of Great Knowledge in earlier chapters and the origin of Grid's second class Duke of Wisdom.

Information[]

Duke of Wisdom is a perfect Duke Title that describes the omnipotence of great magic knowledge. The title is characterized by the title skill Magic Contemplation that the knowledge bearer grasps the magic process of others and cuts off or strengthens the activation of the spell itself at the source. Sounding like a story from the Age of Mythology, every magician, except the magician of Mumud's magic, are helpless in front of the Duke of Wisdom. The phenomenon is due to the magic knowledge delving into the magicians' knowledge and denying it. It represents a great talent and a genius that will emerge once in 100 years, the greatest magician in the world.[1]

A being who possesses 'satisfying' wisdom and the knowledge to realize many things that no one else can solve, such as the problem of Greed's proliferation, is the Duke of Wisdom.[2] The 'mind room' filled with countless books that has been accumulated in wisdom symbolizes the duke's knowledge as a world of its own.[3] Planning everything thoroughly can always be expected.[4] But it cannot be denied that the title implies also a certain degree of danger.[5] Even the Duke of Wisdom sometimes encounters something unknown that has never been experienced before.[6] Knowledge is accumulated through memories and experience.[7]

By the transfer of Braham's knowledge, Grid gained the potential of succession, the Duke of Wisdom class, as the next Duke of Wisdom alongside Braham.[8] Knowledge is different from a substantial thing and will not disappear just because Braham transfered it to others.[9]

Notes[]

  • The description for Possessor of Great Knowledge in chapters 307 and 662 is identical to the description for the title Duke of Wisdom in chapter 1028. In chapter 1134 Duke of Wisdom is not described again, but from chapter 307 it is known that Braham has 3 titles. Only the name and the description of the third title consisted of question marks, which were introduced in chapter 1134 as Master of Mana. So there is another hint that Possessor of Great Knowledge and Duke of Wisdom are identical, since the last title is One who Became a Legend. The fourth title Resurrected in Chapter 1134 follows from the story that Braham did not possess it before.
  • Braham refers to the title once with 'wise duke'.[10] In a later citation it is suddenly 'wise lord'.[11] While 'wise lord' means a title given to Vampires, 'wise duke' is a reference to the Duke Titles and thus to Braham's own title.
  • Because Grid got the Duke of Wisdom as a class, there might be an implied general system by the author that titles can generate classes.
