Description[]

[Earl Ashur's Anger]

He put a watcher on you and came urgently as soon as he heard that you entered the 'Northern End Cave'. Earl Ashur has witnessed you become blinded by greed over Pagma's rare book and has no intention of forgiving you. He intends to kill you and take away Pagma's rare book.

Quest Clear Conditions: The deaths of Earl Ashur and his escort knights.

Clear Reward: Obtain the title 'Noble Killer.'

Quest Failure: Level -2. You will no longer be able to enter Patrian. Any Patrian soldiers will kill you on sight.

Story[]

Chapter 1[]

After finding the item required to complete Earl Ashur's Secret Request, Grid decided to log out and sell it instead, which triggered notifications [You can't log out of the game here] [Earl Ashur has appeared]. Earl Ashur whose level was 300 at the time showed up, along with dozens of his escort knights that had an average level of 180. This was the moment Earl Ashur's Secret Request changed to Earl Ashur's Anger quest.

Chapter 2[]

Although he originally planned to die, fail the quest and later sell the book, he considered that the reason Earl Ashur wanted to kill him was to take that very item away from him, thus establishing a possibility of losing the book if Grid died and had it fallen into Earl Ashur's hands, if Grid died while still having the book in his inventory.[2]

In the end he decided to use the book himself, while being unaware that it would drop his level to 1. Consequently, he was easily killed only with a single sword's blow launched by one of Earl Ashur's escort knight. The quest subsequently failed and Grid ended up resurrecting at the nearest temple.[3]

Chapter 3[]

Satisfy's development team predicted that if this quest followed the normal course, the one who received the prerequisite quest would be a minimum of level 350. If the user is over level 350, they have a high chance of clearing the 'Earl Ashur's Anger' quest and becoming Pagma's Descendant. In other words, they wouldn't be lacking in ability like Grid and wouldn't have failed the linked quest.
