Information[]
Hell is divided into 33 zones and each hell is different, just as the human countries are different. Some Great Demons are proud of their hell, while some are ashamed.[1] There are three main types of races that live in hell. They are Demonic Creature, Demonkin, and Demon.[2]
Thanks to their nature, some demonkin formed a civilization. In Satisfy, it was easy to think of hell as a world ruled by demons, not humans. It was just dangerous because there was no concept of morality or laws. All sorts of unethical things occurred throughout hell except for a few safe zones. The slaughter was brutal and matched its name of hell.
Every Zone of Hell can be purified by the Demon Slayer.[references needed] However, their skill Hell Purification is not omnipotent. The hells that were cleansed cannot be invaded by Great Demon Candidates, as they were exclaimed as Neutral Zones. Only by quickly establishing the statue of Yatan that the purified zone would become a complete neutral zone. If the statue wasn't established during the purification period then demons would start to invade the territory again.[3]
It is common knowledge introduced by the Rebecca Church, that Hell is the place where the souls of those who build up sin throughout their lives fall. It is said that the souls will suffer terribly to pay the price for their sins, reflect on themselves, and cleanse themselves. There are also some souls that will become evil spirits.[4]
Hell is as wide as the West Continent and the types of demonkin are more diverse than the species there. There might be a place in hell where the souls of the dead are governed. There could be evil spirits. Some demons collected the souls of the dead as loot. To be exact, they were the souls of the dead after signing a contract with the great demons. Pagma's soul that lies within Baal's grasp is an example.[5]

History[]
Despite current ideas that it is where sinners go, Hell was once known as the place most of the dead go. Those who can't ascend to Asgard go to Hell instead. There, they could partake in the river of reincarnation and be sheltered by this world. This salvation for the dead ended due to Baal's distortion.[8]
