Information[]

The names of items are displayed above them if they are not in an inventory, which means they are located in the world. The name of an item has a Color that indicates the rating. However, just because you see an item, you cannot pick it up and lift it into your inventory. There are items that cannot be acquired despite them being right in front. They would return to its original spot like a mirage. If users could obtain all of the items immediately, Satisfy’s economic balance might crumble.[1]

Conditions of Use[]

Satisfy rarely has items with no usage conditions. Player will only recall a set of beginner items that are representative of having no conditions. Most of the equipment items in Satisfy have conditions of use attached to them. This includes level and stat limits to be met but also the presence of skills and classes. If the conditions are not met, the item cannot be worn. For that reason, every level has strong limitations. This is only not applied to legendary classes. [2]


Equipment[]

In Satisfy, Equipment are items that occupy Equipment Slots, in other words, can be equipped. So they are wearable items and people have to choose one item for one slot. [3] Other characteristics of equipment is that it is worn visibly on the body,[4] and it can decrease the Durability in combat or through use, so it is necessary to repair equipment.[5] Note, Equipment Items mean something else. Equipment refers to the usual game meaning while equipment items refers to the everyday meaning of equipment. This is how it is mostly used in the novel.[6]

Non-equipment[]

Non-equipment are items that cannot be worn and therefore cannot occupy an equipment slot. There are many devices or items used in Overgeared which cannot be worn. Examples are Pulling Device and Overgeared Cannon. These can only be carried.


Equipment Items[]

Equipment Items are items that are distinguished from Equipment. In these cases equipment items mean items that any occupation requires for their works. The equipment items can also be equipment but they must not as they can also be devices, and not all equipment are equipment items. This is a subtle and important distinction. For example, to work on an occupation does not require accessories. They are not equipment items, however, they are equipment. It is confused by the fact that in games, accessories are also considered equipment, which is not the case in the everyday language. This results in misunderstandings depending on which meaning is applied.[7] In any case, this category describes what Grid can make as a blacksmith and tailor. The two occupations are different only in the tools and materials used.[8]

Most of the equipment items in Satisfy have conditions of use attached to them. If the conditions are not met, the item cannot be worn. For that reason, every level have strong limitations.[9] Equipment items need to be durable by default. The repeat use and repairs would inevitably drop the maximum Durability. Therefore, people are reluctant to use items with low durability. [10] However, for players, the worst is dropping equipment items by the Death Penalty. Basically, the value of equipment items is high as they are the main power and the loss reduce it.[11]

Weapons[]

Weapons are both equipment items and equipment in one.

Secondary Weapons[]

If by secondary weapon is not meant the Equipment Slot secondary weapon, which shields and the category occupy,[12] or a spare weapon as secondary weapon,[13] then the secondary weapons category is meant.[14] Confusion as to what may be meant is inevitable.[15] There a lot of different weapons like chains or iron bars which fall within the category. They are difficult to control, so most users does not use them. These are weapons to control opponents.[16] Usually these have a low attack power and few options. Their Durability is low enough that they are considered consumables as their persistence is weak. Normal secondary weapons have limitations that cannot be overcome.[17]

Armor[]

The armor ranks in order are armor, gaiters, helmet, boots, shoulder guards, and gloves. Of course, armor is not the most important thing. There are unique effects for every area of armor and all of them are valid. The unique effect of the shoulder guards is to lower the possibility of a shoulder injury. Considering that the part of the body most frequently impacted during combat is the shoulders, the shoulder guards' function is highly regarded.[18]

Devices[]

Devices are items or piece of equipment that has been designed to do a particular job. Important is, it is not meant the game designation of equipment, because devices are not equipable, but equipment items. Examples are Pulling Device and Overgeared Cannon.

Consumable Items[]

Consumable Items, also called Consumables, are cheap compared to equipment items.[19] They are distinguished by a certain amount of use before they are consumed.[20] However, disposable tools are meant to make customers aware that something needs to be consumed. It is a kind of gesture to emphasize the favor doing the customers to charge higher fees for services.[21] The Mass-produced One-handed Sword (Prototype) is an example of where the line between equipment items and consumable items lie. If steel was used as the main material rather than black iron, the limitations of this work would be more prominent and it would be treated as a consumable item. In other words, whether something is consumable is determined by how much the limitation stands out in everyday life.[22] The durability must be high enough to not be considered as consumables.[23]

Arrows[]

Arrows are consumables, but that is only when fired by a bow.[24] Unlike other equipment, the price of it is naturally cheaper.[25] Those who buy arrows consider them as a one-off consumable, so no one is devoted to making the consumable item. Arrows are also less profitable than other equipment items due to their nature, but a great performance means to get some money.[26]

Production Methods[]

Production Methods are one-time consumable items.[27] The difference between an item of a production method and the production method is the difference between not learning and learning this method.[references needed] A production method based on the ‘rating’, rather than the ‘item name’, is special. Items of the specified rating would be produced unconditionally. The produced item is a ‘unique rated item.’ There is no one who would not covet a one-time consumable production method item.[28]

Repair Tools[]

Repair Tools can be used for repairs and are disposable. They are distinguish from ordinary tools like anvil and hammer, but they are not necessary for a repair. However, the repair tools are born to give customers the awareness that 'hammers and anvils must be consumed' when repairing. It is a type of gesture to emphasize the favor blacksmiths are doing them. Due to this advertisement, they can charge higher repair fees. They are a money-making means devised by the ancient blacksmiths. They are the reason why players have to pay an expensive amount of money for their items to be repaired.[29]

Accessories[]

Most accessories does not have much defense.[30] Only a few accessories like the Ring of Absurdity are at the peak of all accessories and are much more valuable than a bunch of equipment items. By default, an accessory with a special option attached has low basic abilities. The reason for the existence of accessories is to satisfy the sense of aesthetics and to give special options that cannot be implemented on equipment items.[31] Few items are as hard to find as accessories, especially accessory sets. A unique rated accessory set has a similar value to legendary rated ornaments.[32]

Glasses[]

Glasses are classified as accessories, and among all the accessories, they are items that are easiest to wear. They can be easily given to others by the owner. There is no transfer procedure. It is simple as long as the other party does not resist, since it have to be worn on the ears and nose. However, this also means that glasses are not equipment.[33]

Material Item[]

Materials are items that can be used by production classes, like Blacksmiths.[34] They are distinguished from other items and come in a variety of subcategories, including cloth, metal, and scales.[35]

Quest Items[]

Quest Items are not classified as a material item or equipment item. That is, quest items is a category opposite to the mentioned categories.[36] Quest items are items that can be obtained in the course of going through a quest. These items are described to have no special function except in special moments.[37] These special functions and special moments can vary: changing class (Pagma's Rare Book), gaining an NPC's favor (Idan's Frying Pan), obtaining skills (_) or items (_), summoning a demon (comb to summon Belial), or even winning a war (_).
