Lauel, also known as the 'Demon Brain', is one of the 'Top 10 Rookies' of the first generation. He is currently working under the Overgeared King Grid as the 'Prime Minister' of Overgeared Kingdom. He is also notorious for his chuunibyou in and outside the Overgeared Guild, with this characteristic establishing himself as a deep supporter of the Evil Eyes.
Introduction[]
Lauel was introduced as the US team strategist during the 1st Satisfy National Competition, one of the first generation Top 10 Rookies and Rank 1 in the Qigong Master rankings. He was mentioned before by Ibellin as a rival amongst the Top 10 rookies.
Appearance[]
Lauel was too young to be called a man, but too mature to be called a boy. He was estimated to be in his late teens. He had blond hair and white skin. His eyes were calm and he had stubborn lips. He had a pretty forehead and narrow jaw. He was so beautiful that he reminded Grid of the main character of a British teen movie.
Personality[]
Lauel is a public chuunibyou. He is also a great strategist, even if he admid that when things doesn't follow his plans he use to lose his composture[23].
Story[]
Chapter 174[]
During the First Satisfy National Competition, Lauel is left alone by Hurent and must battle other representatives on his own. He is able to fend them off long enough for Hurent to finish his battles.
Chapter 177[]
Zibal tells Hurent to crush Grid in PvP, to which Lauel interject that he probably shouldn't underestimate Grid.
Chapter 180-181[]
Fascinated by Grid's skills and items, he decides to become his subordinate.
Chapter 186-187[]
He tells Grid to invite the Tzedakah Guild members into his new guild when he leaves in the future. Lauel soon learns of Euphemina and tells Huroi to bring her to the castle.
Chapter 191-193[]
He watches Grid make the Indecisive Mumud's Orb and later welcomes Euphemina as a companion. He then conveys the reasons why Grid is forming a new guild to the Tzedakah Guild.
Chapter 197[]
The Fight the Golems quest was issued and Lauel recommends Grid to participate. Grid arrives at the scene and uses Summon Knights to bring Lauel to the battlefield.
Chapter 199-208[]
He analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of those present in the invasion. He then uses his skills to support his allies.
When the Tzedakah Guild members arrive, a new guild is established, which Lauel joins. After the Golem Army Invasion ends, he receives rewards alongside these members. Lauel receives the titles First Earl and Kingdom's Hero as well as gold and contribution points. When Grid is pledging loyalty, Lauel tells him to swear it to Wiesbaden and not the royal family.
During the celebrations, Lauel convinces Grid to invest his gold and teaches Yerim how to switch classes.

Ashur is in a tough position, so Lauel suggests Grid takes Bland hostage to prevent further disputes.
Chapter 216-222[]
After arriving in Reidan, he takes note of its current state and begins devising plans. When Grid arrives, he suggests he help by making tools. He issues work to Piaro and Bland as well, asking them to clear fields.
He continues working as a lord and later hands over some responsibilities to Rabbit after noticing his skills. He observes Rabbit's usage of desert sand to earn money.
