Information[]

Due to the perfect artificial intelligence, the distinction between users and NPCs in Satisfy is ambiguous and sometimes mistakes occur that people think an NPC is a user. Only the name above the head in green symbolizes an ordinary NPC.[1] Users gain 10 fixed stat points every time they gain a level, while NPCs randomly acquired a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 20 stat points. Grade A NPCs like Jude level up with at least 16 stat points.[2] However, all non-named NPCs have a limit on their stats, Jude as well as Minor before they ascended.[3] They were not Named NPC, which means they had few unique stories.[4]

Satisfy raise the level of NPCs in accordance to the average level of the Users. In particular Named NPC will be one advancement higher.[5]

Semi-named NPCs[]

Semi-named NPCs are NPCs who are aiming to surpass their limits. There is an inevitable difference to Named NPCs as Semi-named NPCs are limited in growth and tends to lean towards one side in their stats. For example, Jude has high combat related stats instead of intelligence. Minor is similar to Jude as the level of his skills are high and unique, but his overall stats are low. NPCs prove that they could overcome their shortcomings by breaking through the limits. The conditions for growth are unique for each NPC. If a semi-named NPC grow steadily, they are comparable to a named NPC. In order to nurture more NPC talents, it is necessary to grasp the characteristics of an NPC and use it well.[6] Semi-named NPCs demonstrate a high growth rate after hard training and education.[7]

The Experience from Semi-named NPCs is at least 10 times more than normal monsters.[8]

Named NPCs[]

The name of named-grade NPCs like Piaro is marked with gold. There is no limit in the stats, so that they can grow infinitely like a user.[9]  Named NPCs have infinite growth potential and overall stats.[10] The growth of named NPCs is comparable to high rankers among users.[11]

If a Named NPC and a user have the same level and stats, the Named NPC would have the advantage. There is the named NPC compensation effect. Named NPCs have a profound effect on the worldview and story of the game, like Earl Ashur, so they have all their abilities (attack, defense, magic power, health, mana, skill cooldown, etc) set higher than a user. This is a type of protection system applied as a fixed effect, regardless of stats. Earl Ashur and Piaro are both Named NPCs, but because it is divided by grade, Earl Ashur was defeated by Piaro.[12]

There is a high grade of named NPCs called Super named NPCs. It includes exceptionally powerful NPCs, such as Legends.[13] Super named NPCs are incredibly intelligent and possess overwhelming combat ability.[14] NPCs with very important roles and influence on the world are likely to be of this grade.[15] Those who have the potential to be that great can also be within this grade.[16]

Health[]

The player's health is decided by stats, titles, and items, but the NPC's health level is adjusted separately. In particular, the health of a named NPC is as high as a Boss Monster, making it tens or hundreds of times higher than a player. While a player's health gauge drops every time an attack is allowed, a Named NPC's health gauge is still healthy.[17]

Codenames and Nicknames[]

The S.A Group gave codenames to NPCs for convenience. The arrangement of the code intuitively tells them the function and role of the NPC. Only a very small number of NPCs was given nicknames instead of Codenames because they have special personalities. The nicknames could be remembered even after hearing it once. NPCs with a nickname are at the top when it come to ‘creating quests.’ For example, Hanul is the ‘operator’ with the codename S-001. He is able to create more diverse episodes by giving roles and situations to a number of unspecified players to rekindle stories that has become stagnant or write completely new stories, invigorating Satisfy. He is different from Baal whose ‘episodes’ are limited by his contractor Agnus[18], code S-003.[19]
