Information[]

Satisfy has natural rankings to boost competition among players. Every player registered in the rankings has competitors threatening the ranking.[1] There are two types of rankings. The first ranking is the unified ranking and the second is the class ranking of the own class. Both rankings are based on the Level and Experience of a player. The unified ranking lists all players and the class ranking lists only the best 10 players of a class.[references needed] For both lists you have to register.[2] As level and experience influence the ranking and the class is important for the class ranking, a register reveals this information.[3] Once you are registered, you stay registered. The only known way to get out of the rankings is to get a hidden class.[4]

System Messages[]

Registration[]

“Ranking registration.”

[Disabling the informal ranking will reveal your level to all players. Is it okay?]

"Of course it's fine.”[5]

Refusing[]

[The class of Pagma's Successor will be revealed to the world. Do you want to register for the rankings and announce that you are Pagma's Successor?]

“I don't want to.”

[You won't be registered in the rankings.][6]

Rankers[]

Rankers are players registered in the rankings.[7] Ranked players have exceptional talent, passion, effort, and perseverance. They are highly proud of their own accomplishments.[8] Not a few rankers are very rich. They have high recognition because they always appear on TV, and they sweeps in money with media interviews, photo shoots, and CFs. Therefore, people have the perception that rankers are rich. But this is not a story for everyone to be popular in their country. Without it, sooner or later rankers would be unable to arm himself with the right item for their level. This means they would have difficulty hunting and their ranking would fall. They need the money to buy good items.[9] Most rankers are using +7 items by successful Enhancements, while the +8 or higher items are for the rich or fortunate.[10]

The rankings of the top players can fluctuate with just 1% of Experience, so someone dying and losing 20% of their experience can drop the rankings down 20 places.[11] Experience is extremely valuable to rankers. If they have to perform a miserable role to play, they should at least get some experience from a Party.[12] In addition, rankers experience extreme mental pain just by the loss of valuable items, increasing the pressure. In particular, it raise the burden if the next Satisfy National Competition is not far away. Every ranker's hearts are heavy at the thought of participating in the National Competition in a weakened state.[13]

Typical Rankers[]

Typical rankers are obsessed with maintaining their ranking or reaching a higher ranking. Spend most of their time connected to Satisfy in the hunting grounds to earn wealth and honor by focusing on hunting. It is no different from existing games and the ordinary content is abandoned, which other enjoy. They are distinguished by their stats and talent, confident in their Control Ability. Against opponents with already collected data, their combat ability is doubled by using their analytical and cooperative abilities against the opponent's skills and characteristics. But even without it, they must be able to accurately grasp the course of a combat and react to it. Often it is their obligation to check their high-ranking competitors. They only fear death more for the decline in growth.[14]

High Rankers[]

High Rankers loosely refers to the top 1,000 Rankers in the Unified Rankings, a common distinction and high ranking top among all players of Satisfy. In most known cases, these also lead the top 10 of the Class Rankings. They are respected by the public because they needed talent, money or good luck. It is a dream of many Satisfy's players to become a high ranker by obtaining their secrets of levelling.

A High Ranker normally receives a lot of money from sponsors, has confident in the great talent and is well equipped with high rated items to participate in the Satisfy National Competitions. In order to gain knowledge for their success, they build up their own intelligence networks. Storywise, most of the important characters among them are in the top 100 which is the insisting definition by the rankers. They didn’t have the same level of talent, and there is a clear difference between them. The higher the ranking, the more distinct it becomes, especially the Control Ability. Their worst nightmare is of course dying, losing experience and thus falling in the rankings.

The armed state of the Overgeared Guild comes close to the ideals of the high rankers. The guild controls high-level hunting grounds, raids all types of boss monsters and secures valuable production materials. Then the legendary blacksmith Grid designs and produces items using the supplied materials. The ultimate challenge for High Rankers is the Behen Archipelago to reach the East Continent. [15]

Non-rankers[]

If rankers ponder about the name above a player's head, and no matter how much rankers look through their memory for an unfamiliar name without finding anything, it is most likely an unranked player, a Non-Ranker.[16] Non-rankers have not yet registered in the public rankings.[17] For rankers non-rankers who goes all the way to reach a dangerous point in a Dungeon for rankers are pathetic, as they will most likely die. The rankers will issue a warning to go back, but otherwise rankers will treat them hostilely within their territory to throw them out.[18]

Unofficial Rankers[]

If rankers meet non-rankers that are as powerful or even better than them, it is very likely that the non-rankers do not want to be publicly known, especially their class.[19] The rankers are then belatedly recalled that there are Unofficial Rankers. Unofficial rankers differ from other non-rankers only in their ability to compete with the rankers. There are a few high level users who does not register their names in the rankings. They like to play the game like hermits in a martial arts movie.[20] The number ‘two billion’ is too big to easily estimate the scale. The best rankers who represented their country in the National Competition would be weak against the countless reclusive users scattered across Satisfy. These hermits all have one goal in common: to become a master.[21] There are many unofficial rankings high enough to threaten the existing rankings.[22]

Private Rankers[]

Private Ranker renounces many benefits, including fame, by making the name private on the list of rankings.[23] Users play the game with specific goals. The characteristic of heavy game users is doing their best to achieve that goal, no matter how long it takes, while light game users give up when it become difficult. High level private rankers are heavy users who does not think it is strange to invest a year and more to obtain the best item. It is just their way to enjoy the game and is extremely normal.[24] Private rankers are not interested in the ranking system and does not know when rankers disappear from the rankings list.[25]

Some rankers are forced to switch to being a private ranker but they may still moving toward their goal, even if it is slower than others.[26] Some private rankers reach their goal after a few months of hard work without giving up and then changing. They forget how to enjoy playing the game when they consider it as a means of making money. For the former private ranker, it has become impossible to understand private rankers and they cannot imagine the terrible things that would happen if the hard work would break.[27]

For rankers, a private ranker is usual a person who hides behind a curtain, not knowing the enormity and reality of the world that they must always be vigilant. Rankers meet many people like these who believe they are the best frog in the well and does not feel any tension despite being surrounded by renowned rankers like arrogant persons. They mock the rankers who compete on stage with courage and honor, not realizing it is just an illusion. Rankers have experience humbling such people. They would force private rankers to exit, making a spectacular emergence during a Satisfy National Competition be in vain. The rankers ridicule private rankers but not all are the same and some are different from the usual private rankers that rankers meet.[28]

Secret Rankers[]

Secret Rankers are private rankers. Remaining truly private, secret rankers operate carefully under many pseudonyms which mean to hide the displayed ID.[29] As long as a headgear is worn, the ID above the head is not displayed. A player can use any name this player wants.[30] In other words, it is unlikely for someone to catch the real user name and they have no experience with being monitored. Nosy people must systematically monitoring a secret ranker to collect information. A full portrait is the best way to stay on track as the face cannot be changed.[31]
