Summary[]
The Ruler's Sword needs a high level of Insight to be used properly. The user can observe the current abilities, the maximum stats and skills, as well as the hidden potential of a target. It is an upgraded version of the Commander's Sword, but the latter has a better Character Observation skill. However, the Ruler's Sword also determines the details of the skills that the target possesses.[1]

* Skill 'Talent Search' will be generated.
A sword only given to a recognized lord.
It gives you the ability to observe soldiers and residents closely, so it can be used for estate management.
Weight: 200
Level of Talent Search[]
The level of Talent Search depends on the stat Insight. In chapter 156, Grid received level 2, because he has more than 600 Insight. The limit of 600 Insight can also be read from Jishuka's personal menu. From 900 Insight there would be the next higher level, with less than 600 but at least 300 Insight the next lower level. Jishuka was not able to use Talent Search with 75 Insight.
[Your insight is more than 600 points. Due to the influence of insight, Talent Search Lv.2 is activated.]
* If the ruler of the estate or a subordinate has more than 300 insight and wears the Ruler's Sword, there is a very rare chance of finding the distinguished person.

* If the ruler of the estate or a subordinate has more than 600 insight and wears the Ruler's Sword, the odds of finding the distinguished person isn't bad.

* If the ruler of the estate or a subordinate has more than 900 insight and wears the Ruler's Sword, there is a medium chance of finding the distinguished person.

Chapter 156-160[]
In Jishuka's personal menu as lord of Bairan, a distinguished person is reported. Jishuka's own insight, however, is with 75 too low to use the Ruler's Sword to find the distinguished person. Jishuka goes on the search anyway, finds out that Grid has a higher insight than she does, because he can use the Commander's Sword, and asks Grid to find the distinguished person. For several days, Grid observed all of Bairan's residents, was interrupted by Irene's visit, and finally found the distinguished person, Minor. Before Grid returned to Winston, he returned Ruler's Sword to Jishuka.
Notes[]
- In order to see the descriptions of skills, the skill Talent Search is probably necessary. This differentiates the Ruler's Sword from the Commander's Sword. The latter doesn't have the skill and can't see descriptions of skills.
- The reason why the Character Observation skill of the Commander's Sword is better has not been explained.
