Grid's 3rd Epic as the Magic Swordsman of the Epics and 'Soul Companion' of Braham. The epic represents the bond between the souls of Braham and Grid.
Information about the Epic[]
The Soul Companions is the 3rd epic of Grid.[1] The epic triggered after the 10 minutes of him swallowing the Dragon Pill[2]-a mythical elixir which had been made from the heart of Stone Dragon Gujel and various Elixirs, that even a heavenly God would covet. This contains enormous Mana and mainly expands the Mana Core of the user.[3] Reaching the first stage of his mana core expansion after 10 minutes which felt like a day, Grid was about to go crazy before his mana core could even be expanded any further. But before he could accept to discharge the unacceptable mana, he was stopped by Braham's blunt voice. The person with an absolutely arrogant tone that Grid longed for had finally woken up. The Dragon Pill had helped to restore completely The Soul of a Great Magician Who Lost his Power. It is the end of the commitment to trust and be together so that Braham's Soul can use him as a vessel and borrow his body until he wants to leave and resurrect. Grid did not want a second incident like Khan to happen with Braham as one of his precious people, whom he wants to protect and share happiness with.[4] The narrative of epic also represents the relationship between the 3 entities, the 3 Legends and friends, Braham, Grid and Pagma (The number 3 is very prominent in this epic and it is also the 3rd epic of Grid, lol!). The narrative says the relationship of Braham towards Pagma-a trusted Blacksmith friend whom he couldn't save on going towards the wrong path, and eventually the wrong path led to him being murdered by his trusted friend Pagma.[5] Hence the relationship between them become of hatred and a conscience of guilt. On the other the relationship between Braham and Grid, Grid-the Descendant of Pagma, Unlike Pagma, Braham trusts and loves him dearly, while Grid only wants to save Braham from his past and future sufferings that's the reason why Grid could become the savior of Braham. And eventually helping Braham who wants to solve the love and hate relationship a new commitment was made, which formed a deep bond beyond liking. After the resurrection and the beginning of a new life, they would live together in the same kingdom, the Overgeared Kingdom.[6]
Rewards[]
After the completion of epic as a reward Grid's Status as Transcendent rose by a level. He understood the concept of 'Heart' purely due to the epic and the understanding of his relationship with Braham. This resulted him acquiring the skill Formless Will and the special stat Willpower. Due to the effect of previous skill and special stat, there would be some resistance to the type of skills that expresses the willpower that doesn’t exist. He somewhat understood, even a little, that how to transcend the concept of 'Space'. This resulted in the activation of information about the Shunpo[7]-a skill which he had acquired previously as a reward after the completion of his 2nd epic, the Protagonist of Two Eras, but the information was unknown at that time.[8] His Deity stat was also increased by 1 point. Based on the contents of the 3rd epic Grid also gained the title 'Soul Companions', he ultimately also felt a deep bond beyond liking towards the Legendary Great Magician Braham.[9]
Grid's Suffering and Other Rewards[]
The other rewards being talked about here are related to the story alongside the epic or the rewards of the hidden quest The Soul of a Great Magician Who Lost his Power. After Grid swallowed the Dragon Pill, only after 10 minutes he was in the great suffering-it was due to the fact that his mana core was untrained so the expansion process of Grid's mana core was inevitably slow this resulted in only one expansion to his mana core even after 10 minutes. As a Dragon Pill contains an enormous amount of mana, the mana had nowhere to go as the expansion process of mana core was really slow, so the mana ran wild in Grid's body. His muscles and veins bulged and twisted violently due to the mana that was running wild in his body. This caused extreme pain to Grid's senses so he gave up and was about to discharge the excess mana out from his body as the notification window suggested but just at that point of time, Braham who hadn't woken up since Grid got the (Braham's Favor) Great Swordsman Pagma's Swordsmanship,[10] woke up and stopped Grid so that he doesn't let out the excess mana from his body.
Braham then completely restored the cracked mana core of Grid, the pain and suffering went away. The blood vessels and veins that had swelled to the limit became stable again. Grid's mana core now succeeded in accumulating a large amount of mana and achieved its 2nd expansion. His mana again increased by 3,000 permanently, his class the Magic Swordsman of the Epics was enhanced like his mana core's 1st expansion but now he could also learn the Basic Magic Books. However, Braham didn't let this slide, as he knew Grid couldn't learn the Braham's Enhanced Magic for now, so he modified Grid's mana core. Now Grid couldn't learn the basic magic books but the cooldown time of Grid's Swordsmanship was decreased (The Grid's Swordsmanship being referred here is also related to all Grid's magic sword dances). Simultaneously the 3rd expansion of his mana core also occurred and accordingly Braham again transformed Grid's mana core. The Legendary Great Magician Braham had not only restored completely his soul due to the Dragon Pill, but also transformed the mana core of Grid which reached the 4th stage[11] to optimize the potential of the sword dances.
As Braham's soul recovered completely, the hidden quets, 'The Soul of a Great Magician Who Lost his Power', also succeeded. As a reward Grid's Magic Contemplation skill's level rose. Braham also completely transferred his Duke of Wisdom title to Grid. This meant, even if Braham’s soul leaves him, the effect of Duke of Wisdom class would be maintained. Even after the completion of epic and all these rewards there remained a notification window with the exclamation point. The system was silent for a while, seemingly needed more interpretation before finally delivering the information. The contents of rewards were, as Grid had embodied the whole Dragon Pill which was a miraculous achievement in and of itself. He was commended by the system for this and his special stats Persistence and 'Willpower' were increased by 20 and 100 points respectively. Ultimately his mana core was also expanded to the 4th stage which resulted in a special effect as once his mana completely depletes, 5% of mana would instantly be restored and any magic or skills used within the next two seconds wouldn't consume mana.[12]
Information about the Title[]
The title Soul Companions was acquired by Grid after the completion of his 3rd epic. The title represents the bond and relationship between Braham and Grid which is very deep and feels spiritual. As Braham resided in Grid's body for a long time, so both entities' soul's also formed a special. That special connection is shown by the title which was given to Grid based on the contents of the 3rd epic with Braham. This title marks both Braham and Grid as the soul companions who in past shared a deep bond through their souls. The title particularly enhances the Bond System. The previous Bond system (At Level 1) which used to increase all stats by 1% of the bond partners and the user itself was now increased to the 3%.
The title is very special to Grid. As the Bond—the system certificates the worth of the concept he valued most so Grid had been deeply moved. He was especially dominated by indescribable joy after getting the title.[13]
